The Ontario Region Schutzhund Association is pleased to present:
Trial Manager Seminar with Racine Hyatt-Auld.
Effective 2019, all GSSCC IPO trials must be run by an accredited Trial Manager. The name “Manager” has been chosen to replace the term “Secretary” to reflect the more significant responsibilities that the Trial Manager has for the success of the trial, and for the attention and accuracy that is due from the paperwork and procedures of the trial.
The trial is a serious process. Each dog must be authenticated, and the records accurately maintained, as we are creating a record for future generations that breeding decisions may well be based on.
Every trial will need a certified trial manager, and each club should have at least two trial managers, otherwise one person will be denied the advantage of ever trialing on their home field.
- Date: March 25, 2018
- Time: 11 am – 5 pm.
- The seminar will start promptly at 11. Please arrive in good time.
- Location: Rosewood Pet Resorts – Scarborough. 15 Reesor Rd. Scarborough,
ON M1X 1R5. This facility is generously donated for this seminar, please respect designated parking areas and existing clientele traffic.
- Download and print the GSSCC forms that you would need for a trial, from the GSSCC website. Official Documents – Trial Column
- GSSCC Rulebook (Each club should have it’s own copy of the rulebook.)
- Pen and Clipboard
- A Chair
Water and Light Refreshments will be provided.
Format: The seminar will start with a Theory Presentation, followed by a Mock Trial, and the day will wrap up with the Certification Test. Paperwork will be sent to the Trial Manager Program Coordinator for evaluation, and participants will receive notification of certification status or recommendation regarding follow-up work.
This seminar is presented free of charge to GSSCC members. Please register to attend.

Notice of the Annual General Meeting
of Ontario Region Schutzhund Association
This is to advise you of the upcoming annual general meeting of the members of Ontario Region Schutzhund Association. The details of this meeting are as follows:
Date: June 2, 2017
Time: 6 pm
Place: Capital City Schutzhund, Concession Road 8, Claremont
If you have anything that you wish to add to the agenda, please forward it to Dwyn Tomlinson (firstname.lastname@example.org) by May 26 for inclusion in the agenda.
A club or clubs wishing to host the Regional Championship Trial, Show and Breed Survey for 2018 should apply to the Regional Board BEFORE the AGM. If there is more than one application, the members present at the AGM will vote on the decision. The next year’s host will be announced at the AGM.
We apologize for the shortened notice. If you would like to object – please let us know now, but the board felt that keeping it on the expected date would be less of a surprise than moving it and inconveniencing everyone by adding another event to their schedule.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there.

Anyone who ever tried to get married on a major holiday has learned an important lesson. You get better turn-out if you don’t schedule your event to overlap another equally important event!
When scheduling an event – to try and get maximum anticipated turnout – try to pick a weekend that does not have something else going on.
Here is a list of up-coming world level events.
FCI IPO FH 2017 – April 6 – 9
WUSV Universal World Championship 2017, June 9-11, Regau, Austria
FCI IPO World Championship 2017, Sep 14-17
WUSV 2017, Oct 4 – 8
If you have an event coming up that would be of interest to other IPO and dog sport enthusiasts, we can add it to the listing here as a courtesy so that everyone is aware of what is coming up – even if it is a private seminar or non-GSSCC event. And you might even get more entries! Email details to email@example.com.

A Special thank you to Capital City Schutzhund Club in moving their trial to Nov 12-13 as to accommodate the GSSCC National Helper College. We all know what the weather conditions could be like in the GTA in November so I would like to see as many members as possible show up to this event and show them our support.
Good luck to all the Competitors as well as the Clubs in making all the Trials a success.
