To comply with the new SV regulations for Breed Surveys, the GSSCC must submit notification to the SV with regards to the dogs entered in the breed survey at least 10 days prior to the survey.
With this in mind, it means that last minute entries for breed surveys will no longer be possible, so if you are planning to have your dog breed surveyed, you will need to plan accordingly.
Be sure to contact the club hosting the Breed Survey well in advance for more details if you need them, or for more details, contact the Ontario Region Show Director (Frank Caputo)
The Ontario Region Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held Nov 17, 2019, at 10:30 am.
Location is: Bowden Transport 240 South Blair st. Whitby, ON. L1N 0G3.
The Ontario Region of the GSSCC is pleased to present an IGP Trial Tracklayer seminar with Mark Scarberry, founder of the USCA tracklayer program.
The seminar is open to all GSSCC members, but particularly targeted to trial tracklayers and tracking coordinators/supervisors. Competitors/trainers/handler will also benefit from understanding what the proper track laying protocols are as well.
It is with a deep sadness that we mourn the passing of lifetime member Irene Klotz. Irene’s impact on the GSSCC over the years is immeasurable – from patient translation to liaising with nearly anyone in Germany that we needed help with, to beginner’s clumsy questions about trial procedure. Irene has made a profound and lasting impression on the sport of Schutzhund in Canada. Our sympathy and thoughts are with Bernie and family.
The Service of Remembrance for Irene Klotz is the 19th of July from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Klassen Funeral Home located at 1897 Henderson Highway, Winnipeg, MB R2G 1P4. Stories and memories can be posted here.

GSSCC Board of Directors
It is with great sadness that we inform our members and friends of the passing of long time Saugeen Schutzhund Club Director Sandra Stepanis. Sandra passed away peacefully in South-Lake Hospital June 1 with family by her side.
Sandra has been a welcoming figure to many new members in the sport and is fondly remembered by all for her ever-ready smile and hospitality.
Our deepest sympathies go out to her husband Pando and her family.
We hope to have lots support from the regional members. Please come and support the region helpers, they work hard and dedicate lots of their personal time to make sure your dogs are work properly and safely.
WE ALSO NEED HANDLERS & DOGS FOR THE SATURDAY & SUNDAY
